Nattering

Really productive day today. Gutted and cleaned the house and it felt really good. L's been a total dream today, especially considering the lack of structured attention she's had. We actually had a lot of fun and she just played alongside me while I sorted stuff, stopping briefly for tickles and cuddles. Lovely girl :-)

Older kids went to afterschool club so I snuck in a cheeky extra run when j came home before I collected them on my way back.

Grandad came over during dinner, he seems pretty chirpy. He's been spending a bit of time with a new friend. We all feel a bit strange about it to be honest. He says they're just friends and I'm sure that's true, but I can tell by the amount of times he mentions her that he's quite liking the company and having some attention. His wife and best friend of 35 years died only 3 years ago so although we want him to be happy, I just hope he doesn't get too caught up in it and end up hurt... Strange how we end up takin our parents role isn't it. We've been trying to skim information about her to check she's not a psycho.

Speaking of psychos, just about o watch Whitechapel. That should be good for a bout of insomnia
