One way
Heavy snow overnight meant that the main roads from here to Huddersfield were closed. So, depending on your point of view, either Yorkshire is isolated or the rest of the world is cut-off.
Late morning I noticed that there was no snow or rain falling. I checked two weather forecast apps - both said <20% chance of precipitation. I got ready for my walk. I stepped outside and walked to the end of the front garden. Icy rain was driving into my face. I checked the apps again: >70% chance of precipitation. I returned to the warmth and comfort, to finish reading a novel about racist killings in California.
