Blackstone Edge

A beautiful day for a walk. Martin and I drove up to the, sadly closed, White House (but not that one) and then walked for six miles or so along the Pennine Way. There was a chilly wind and we mused on the signs warning of thin ice on the reservoirs. Does someone pop out when the ice is thick to update the signs and do they remove them when it warns-up? We think we should be told.
