Puttin' Wood In'thole!
After feeling lethargic all morning I got physical this afternoon when 2 tons of wood arrived. Frank goes down in the cellar and I drop the wood down to him. It was good to be outside doing some actual work even though it's bitter cold out there.
Bella May sat there supervising and even got to say hi to young Aldo - the Cocker Spaniel across the road. When we get a load of wood it always reminds me of the song in the link. Our Choir in Scotland used to sing it and it was one of my faves. We did it in 4 part harmony - I wish we had a recording of us! This will have to do!

Last night I watched the last episode of The Diary of Anne Frank. Such a very sad end. Although I read the book years ago and have seen this production before I didn't realise that her Dad was the only one of their family and the whole group of them to survive. He died in 1980.
Sabrina and family had a family party last night - and even got dressed up. Amelia and Lucy had their party dresses and party shoes on and they had a disco - just the 4 of them then they went in the hot tub - they use it most days all year - right through the winter. She sent us video's and it looked great fun.
I've been drawing little people again, just practicing them in various positions and activities. It's nice to do that while I'm sitting by the fire.
We may go down to the boat tomorrow or this week sometime. It's only a 15 minute drive so if the outside water tap freezes we can just come back to the house. If it snows we probably won't go.
The collared doves returned to day - 6 of them. They are so pretty.
Time to take Bella round the block.
Enjoy your Sunday evening everyone.
Thanks for the stars, hearts and comments.
