Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

JR had a Pilates session this morning (not too early). I did my bike. Archie went off with Elizabeth - thank goodness it was a sunny day again! They didn’t go the usual route (The Hermitage gets very busy on Saturdays. And it’s very muddy) they went to Queen’s Park. (Extra by Elizabeth)

Our pal Chrissy came for a (socially distanced) walk with us. Well, JR and she had a big walk - I went as far as the cafe and left them to it - they can walk much further and faster without me plodding along behind them. (JR 15,609 steps).

As I got near the window to order, the young waitress who was outside collecting stuff spotted me and shouted, ‘Flat oatie?’ Thumbs up from me. And so my coffee was delivered before I even got it ordered! Good service.

I walked back and sat on the wall to drink it and watch everyone going by. I also sat in the Meadows and watched a man juggling. There were so many people out and about enjoying the sunshine.

I popped in (to the garden) to visit Rufus and his mum, before heading home to listen to my book. (7,977 steps)

Sad news: Bert and Brian, our neighbouring schnauzers over the wall have sold their house. (Well, their mum and dad have, anyway).

Good news: Another schnauzer is moving in!
