View over the fence

This morning, my mother and I did  the RSPB big garden birdwatch, looking out for the birds appearing in her garden over the course of an hour. Highlights included  two greater spotted woodpeckers, one green woodpecker, a stock dove, three robins, one pied wagtail, a nuthatch, a ring necked parakeet and numerous blue, great and long-tailed tits (but no colly birds....).
Then we attended Andy Martin's uplifting  Ukes4All YouTube ukulele class. By now the sun was out so we went for a short walk around  the block, where I took todays blip. I also noticed  a clump of snowdrops and a few purple Anemone blanda flowers in my mum's  garden, which have appeared since  last weekend's  snow melted.    See the extra photo.
