The new sign
Another very cold morning -3 and very icy. The gritter came up so the ice started to melt.
Mike went to Inverness to get new back tyres on the car. I was going to go with him and have a walk at Merkinch but it was just too icy. While Mike was gone I steamed cleaned all the floors and had a tidy up.
Mike came back with food from the M&S shop at the garage. He also got some bread and soup from Harry Gows on the A9. We heated up the soup and took it down to the Point to drink, staying in the car. The sun was now out and the sky blue.We went for a walk. Spotted a cat with a mouse and a cormorant or shag that was sitting at the waters edge. Not sure if it was ok as it was not flying away although people were keeping their distance and one lady was sat watching it.
Sent out a message to Brownies to see if any had changed their minds about returning, whenever that maybe. A lot have turned ten so have decided not to come back and a few that had just started have said they will not be returning. We still have to pay £32.50 for each member to Girl guiding Uk and Girl Guiding Scotland in February and with no income for a year now I’m having to use the fund raising money we worked hard to get. The numbers are now much lower so just enough for one unit really which is a shame as I’ve also worked hard to get the numbers up so it will mean starting all over again really.
My legs were really aching in the evening so had an early night.I do not think it helped as I was trying to walk quickly down a path to the carpark as there was someone behind me .
Had a nice Burns supper and I like the poem in the extra :)
