Avoiding the crowds in Cromarty ;)

Another really cold day with a hard frost.We had run out of eggs again so went to the Egg box to stock up. We went the longer way past the bird reserve so stopped there for 5 minutes to see what we could see.Lapwings,teal,wigeon,crows,geese,mallard,red shank,curlew,shelduck,field fare,Robin,stonechat,swan and a few others. It was lovely just to watch and listen.
On to Cromarty where we did the Reed loop. We just saw a few other people in the distance. These two sheep were heading along the path on the way back.One had a black patch over one eye.
There were lots of curlew and oystercatchers in one spot, enjoying the sunshine.We watched a large ship go out with wind turbine parts.
A woodpecker was drumming really loudly in one of the tall trees but we could not spot it.
