Sunrise from behind Scandrett Park
Woke in time to watch the sun rise from behind the peninsula on which Scandrett Park is found. Once all the land was in the ownership of the Scandrett family and was being farmed. A portion of the land with access to Kawau Bay has become one of the Auckland regional parks with public access and use.
From the cliff edge of the beach house land we can see the peninsula, and at this time of the year the sun rises from behind the peninsula. It’s some time since I’ve blipped a sunrise, and S encouraged this choice for today.
I’ve added two extras. After getting back from a jog, I took a photo of some bamboo wind chimes. Rediscovered in the shed during yesterday’s clearing and cleaning. A lovely gentle sound in the wind.
The other extra is of a tui which visited while we were talking to the land agent who we will work with in marketing the beach house.
