Old memories

The saga of the desk stuff continues. It will get worse before it gets better. I’ve included a shot in extras to shame myself .....!

There was a box at the back that was very hard to move and I had no idea what was in it .....it felt like concrete!!!

B retrieved it for me and put it on the settee so as to give me space to work. A lovely surprise as I lifted the lid was my midwifery training case notes. I’ve been looking for them for ages, even in the loft.

Needless to say I haven’t got very far down the pile of contents.  These records relate to my training in Worcester in 1966 /67. They are worthy of closer inspection, as I remember quite vividly delivering some of these ladies. It’s hard to think that these ‘babies’ are now 53/54 years old. Also the amount of responsibility I had as a 22 yr old pupil midwife working in the community, when going out at night to do deliveries ......scary thinking about it now, but we took it in our stride.
