Now that’s a surprise!

The annual Boole lecture at Lincoln Uni this evening by mathematician Marcus du Sautoy on the development of artificial intelligence. In theory way beyond my level of knowledge and education, but presented in such a way that it was thought provoking and entertaining, a most interesting session. Coffee and scrummy carrot cake was provided on arrival. It was a full house tonight, I’ve never seen so many attendees.
Marcus was signing his latest book and B bought a copy (he’s the one who understands what this is all about). I was most surprised when he arrived back with the book with my name in it!!! I love his style of writing, similar to that of Stephen Raw’s letters from the November lecture.
