Castle On The Hill

Dry and bright today but still very cold. Mrs C sidelined due to injury so I was on my own for the daily walk. Fed up looking at town from our side of the valley so hiked over to the castle to see what life looks like from the other side! Quite busy up there but plenty of space so no crowd issues. Lovely views in every direction but my favourite was this shot of the sun setting over the ruins.
Window cleaners made it up to our road, but not the recycling collectors. I vaguely recall seeing something about collections being delayed due to staff sickness so will leave the blue boxes out for another day and hope they’re emptied tomorrow. Didn’t envy the window cleaners their job though. They can’t really be asking for buckets of hot water from each house, so it must have been a bit icy!
Bumped into a fellow pantomime cast member and her mother whilst on my walk. We had received the news last week that pantomime for this year was now officially cancelled and would be held over until 2022. It’s disappointing, but we all agreed it was the only possible course of action given the current lockdown. Hopefully we may be able to put on a show later in the summer, before restarting pantomime in autumn.
I have a horrible feeling that tomorrow I may have to start doing some of the jobs I promised I would definitely do if there was ever another lockdown....
