Not 'proper' snow

We didn't get the snow during that night that was forecast. It was a bit disappointing when we didn't wake top to 'proper' snow, just a covering. Then today we have had sleet showers. 

There are a few sheep in the lower field and I do feel sorry for them. I wonder if they feel the cold and wet at all. They can't be finding much grass to eat under the snow, but they do get fed, it's the last bits that they searching for in the picture. 

The laptop arrived today and our granddaughter is delighted.
