Snowy Woods

The snow returns in the morning, which settles very well on the ice. At least that means more grip. Blip shows the wood in the local park just after the snow, with the weak winter sun shining through the trees. As I head around the park the local rescue helicopter flies overhead. It turns out someone has slipped at the top of the Braid Hills. At the other side of the park, the birch wood also looks suitably wintry as well. People on sledges are enjoying the conditions. The snow on top of ice makes for a very fast descent.

A quiet afternoon, with a short walk around local streets as I head to the local café for a decent cup of coffee (take away as new covid restrictions are now in force) I walk past the park and it is very busy with people sledging. Probably the last chance as a thaw is expected overnight.
