Fish

In my experience most of the fish in the supermarket comes from fish farms in Turkey so I guess this billboard is a piece of marketing guile. It brightens up the car park though and this morning I had an inkling that I would be short on blips so I grabbed a phone shot in the almost empty carpark.
It had rained overnight, no sign of the heavy snow whatsoever, everywhere was like an ice rink. K and I were the first out and did the best we could to spread gravelly salt on the main pathway and on the road so the car tyres could get some grip. It turned out to be the highlight of the day, and a welcome new neighbourly connection.
As expected we are back to March restrictions, a legally enforceable stay at home direction, without the time limit on exercise but with just two people max meeting outdoors from two households.  It feels different this time with a realistic end in sight. The skaters on the Queens Park pond will not be happy, and there are several days of below freezing temperatures still to come.
