Auldhouse ice

The Auldhouse Burn was partly frozen over this morning, it wasn’t particularly pretty but I thought it made for an interesting blip. Nearby two rooks were cracking open the ice near the bank looking for something to eat, just too far away to capture on my phone.
The Scottish Parliament has been recalled for tomorrow (a bank holiday here), in advance of the publication of hospital admissions and deaths over the holiday period. Anticipating a return to the March lockdown and extended closure of schools probably into February. Heigh ho.
Comfort food supper in order which will include Sophie Grigson’s delicious leek and orange sauce. Especially good with pork. And heavy snow forecast tonight.
