Road to Heylor

A beautiful day of sunshine, calm, the odd cloud, and frosty is places.  

Up early, and a morning around the house.  Met friend Julie for walkies at noon.  I took down the Christmas decorations this afternoon, just the outside lights to do tomorrow.  A quiet evening at home, some more walkies, but mostly feet up by the fire. 

We have hit it lucky this past few days, certainly not normal January weather in Shetland.  With the fine weather, the festive holidays, people have been out enjoying every moment they can.  We had a good walk around Eshaness and Stenness, also to the Sand beach near Hillswick.  First attempted walk was here  heading to Heylor.  As we came along the road, the sun soon disappeared under the hill, so we abandoned it and headed on.  Taken on the road to Heylor, Northmavine.
