Lake Lure Holiday ....

... Day 8. And final day. 

Sadly we had to leave this wonderful place this morning.  We were out by the checkout time of 9:00 am.  But we did stop down at the lake one more time be checking out.  My main blip is a pano of the lake taken with my smartphone.  The extra is a view of the lake from the deck of our condo.  We will be back though!

Our trip home is going to be a two day event.  I had contacted my brother a couple of months ago to see if he was going to be home on this day.  He lives in North Carolina and it wouldn’t be that far out of the way for us to stop and visit with them.  And he was up for the idea of us staying the night.  YAY!  We haven’t seen any family this whole year!

We arrived at his house by 2:00 pm and his wife, Michele, welcomed us in.  This will be our first visit with them in this house as they only recently moved into it.  It is a lovely home.  Dave (my brother) wasn’t home from work yet but he soon arrived.  We had a wonderful evening spent in their company plus my niece and her family.  Unfortunately not much social distancing was being observed but it all worked out in the end.  We have all stayed healthy since.
