Lake Lure Holiday ....

... Day 7.

Today was another relaxing day back where we were yesterday!  The one problem with vacationing at Lake Lure is there’s always a drive to wherever you want to go!  But we love it here and try to return as often as we can whilst still vacationing other places. This is the only vacation we took this year due to our May vacation sadly being cancelled … and you all know why.


I have noticed in the past visits to the Flowering Bridge that there is a lot of lizards and anoles. I set out to photograph one today.  I had almost given up on seeing any in a good location to photograph when Richard spotted this green anole in one of the rose bushes.  He was very well camouflaged so I was so excited when Richard pointed him out to me.  It’s he/she just lovely!?! I love this little cuties! I’ve added a collage in the extras of some lovely butterflies and another shot of this anole showing his lovely back stripe.


We had a lovely afternoon enjoying the warmth of the sun before going back to the condo.  We had dinner at the resort as Thursday is our normal eat out night anyway! There’s a lovely restaurant on site that overlooks the lake. They had the tables set up nicely inside so we felt relatively safe … good social distancing.  And dinner was delicious.
When we returned to our condo we packed up our stuff as this is the last night here … sadly. Tomorrow is a semi-long day of driving … more on that tomorrow.
