Seeing The Light
Thats The Pencarrow Lighthouse with The Bossess beside it. Built in 1858 and is on top of a hill, but replaced with one on the shore in 1906 (extra) and fully automated in 1960, so after staggering for 26000 (17km) round trip including the afore mentioned hill we arrived back at the start of this adventure at a joint that rented electric bikes BUT also sold ICE CREAMS and we did indeed "see the light" The ferry in the extra is the "Blue Bridge" one of our inter island ferries that connects us with cars, rail and people.
For those who don't know Wellington this is all on the eastern side of the harbour and getting there is also a delightful drive.
I rode in the Boss's pak and have removed my Christmas hat now so I hope I'm not sunburnt.
