The Birthday
We've been to a friends birthday party this afternoon. Actually it was joint birthday party for a family that use to live on our street and then gave up town life and moved to a village. I love their tatty home all full of character, such a far cry from out new builds and their rows of identical houses.
The kids hadn't seen each other since the Summer but I was pleased to see that even with Poppy & Daisy's new friends around them, they still made my girls feel like one (or three!) of the gang. Sign of a lovely family I reckon.
Moving on from my recent posts about needing to practice taking portraits of strangers and being a bit scared about approaching this, today's blip is of some kid I don't know and her mummy from the party. Not quite the same as a unsuspecting person on the street but still. Maybe I'll manage that soon, for today, stealing a snap of a strangers child seemed brave enough ;) Love the way she's all partied out.
I didnt sleep last night with belly ache, think I had a reaction to something I ate as its still really sore now and left me feeling all out of sorts. I was a bit grumpy at 7am when the kids woke up and the neighbour started building his shed in the garden so early. Its seemed a small mercy that L, our usual earliest riser was still asleep....until she wet the bed. First time thats happened ;-S What an odd morning. Soon forgotten as the day progressed thankfully.
Hoping to get a good nights sleep before tomorrows last long run on my training plan. Exciting. No wet beds please L!
