Santie Bales

A fairly breezy day, with it picking up tonight.  Mostly dull and dry, with showers this evening.

A lazy Sunday morning, but I finally got going.  Headed into Lerwick before lunch.  Popped along Madeline's for a cuppa.  Met up with friend Julie and headed out walkies with the dogs.  Roast lamb for tea, and then headed to the shop for my shift this evening.  A quiet night in the shop, but I was busy price marking American imports.

These short days can be very dull and uninspiring, but folk do try to lighten the mood.  I enjoyed a drive around Lerwick after dark, and looking at the Christmas lights around folks gardens and homes.  There is also other things around, like this Santie and snowman made from hay bales.  Local farmers getting festive and certainly set a cheery mood here., with the addition of Sammy for scale.  Taken at Brake, Quendale.
