Curlew

It's been a dry and very cold day today, but we did venture out for a walk this afternoon, just around the town and the shore. Stopped by the post box to post the Christmas cards, then around the shore we went. The heron was very close to the shore but I thought this curlew would be great as a blip, they're usually too far away to get a decent image! There were a lot of birds on the shore, heron, curlew, redshank, oyster-catchers, dozens of turnstones, and of course loads of gulls too.
