Black- headed gull
This morning I did some work in the garden. One bully of a plant needs to be removed but I couldn't manage to dig it out - the root goes very deep. I'll have to ask F to give it a bit of wellie as I need some extra muscle. It reminds me of the children's story The Enormous Turnip.
When I'd finished I went for a walk around the castle for a blip. In winter a flock of black-headed gulls appear on the moat where there's always plenty of food then they disappear at breeding time. They are in their winter plumage now so have lost their dark heads.
