Rat at the castle

At the ccastle there is always plenty of spare food for rats as well as for the ducks and swans.  They do send the rat away but he or she is very persistant as rewards are great thanks to the visitors.  The photo of him isn't very sharp but was the best that I took.

I made a batch of leek and potato soup so there's some in the freezer for future consumption. This afternoon was spent in the garden where I planted bulbs and flowers as well as doing a few other jobs. At least I've done a bit before the weather goes downhill at the end of the week.
