Matthew the dwarf bottle brush

It appeals to me that I have 2 different Australian plants that feature people names in their botanical names. Julie the leucodendron and here we have Callistemon Matthew Flinders.

I prefer Matthew (the bottle brush). :-)

Matthew has been with me about 8 months and seems very happy. The flowers are suitably festive.

Today's gratitude: For being able to put together the best meal I've made during my concussion recovery. Stirfry salmon and vegetables with cashew nuts. Boom!
