On my way home

As of today I'm no longer doing the vestibular exercises. They're aggravating instead of helping my balance. Instead I have various walking and eye focus exercises.

As I walk I focus my eyes on different points (straight ahead or off to one side) or move my eyes side to side, or up and down while keeping my head still.

It's challenging for my brain which has to make sense of a lot of information. I struggle to walk in a straight line while doing these and drift and weave.

The physio and I did them in the gym which has the added challenge of a radio and people around me.

And just for fun he set me an obstacle course around the gym equipment and back to my starting position. I couldn't remember many of the obstacles I passed along the way.

So some good challenges for me to work on both at home and at the physio gym.

On the way home I took the route past my local asparagus grower but in the opposite direction to last week.

I love the old tractors that are used by local farmers to position their irrigators. The lid on the fence is a marker to aim for.

Today's gratitude: For new challenges in my recovery from concussion journey.
