Pausing for breath, perhaps

Back to work today. Rather a tiring day. Not only has the been yet another surge of admissions we are not fully staffed medically again. As one consultant is undertaking a graduated return to work after weeks off through a major health problem, another is having cataract surgery, and our non-specialist senior doctor is taking two weeks leave. 

Got well and truly soaked on my bike ride home this evening. I ended up with a shorter walk than usual. Near the end I was watching the acrobatics of some Welcome Swallows. They kept landing on a house roof, and then flying away to continue nabbing unwary flying insects.
