Hey Ho

Last year Dougie kept nipping my head to listen to a band called The Lumineers... finally got round to it and bought tickets for the gig a few days later. Lucky we did as it was pretty much sold out. So we wandered through last night and the Academy was rammed. Unfortunately we missed the support act though we caugh the last song that involved a rousing banjo and guitar thrash a la Crazy Horse so I wil be investigating them.

There seems to have been a resurgence of roots based Americana, Celtic, Folk stuff going on and The Lumineers are just part of that. Was an excellent gig and for two middle aged old farts it was good to see so many yoofs enjoying guitar based music, with songs and shit.

Here we have Wesley Schultz who wandered into the crowd to play Hey Ho acoustically a few yards from us. Might have worked a few months ago but you're in the big league now mate. Luckily for those not a few yard away they played it on stage a bit later. Excellent night.
