Neighbours thoughtfulness

I only discovered quite recently that the flowers that appear every week in the main entrance are provided by our neighbours C and M on the ground floor. Sometimes they are renewed twice a week. I feel a bit guilty about this but they are happy to do it and for everyone else to enjoy them.
Today consisted of a lot of to-ing and fro-Ing of various adminy things which in its way was quite satisfying. We got the drill back and a belated birthday card from #2 son who had addressed it to his brother by mistake, this jogged son #1 into sending a photo of Islay dog which I took to be a variant on an orthodox card.
The best news of course is the departure of DC, surprised though that he had anything to put in a box. I find these intramural power struggles fascinating, just how much power and influence does she wield.
