Upstream heron

Bernard Castle has been in the news this morning, again. It annoys me that journalists and commentators consistently pronounce it incorrectly, it should be Barnett (as in the formula) Castle. That said when I was working in Moray I could never say Pluscarden properly, and Moray as everyone (mostly) knows is Murray.
This was on my mind as I walked back form getting the paper and buying strawberry jam (50% fruit and soft like the French confiture ) in Lidl, or Leedle as some might say. So I nearly missed the heron which was a good 500m further upstream than usual, and blending in so well with grey of the day and the water.
