Shiny bark

Rain in the night but clear enough for a good walk in the morning. The second extra is looking down at Coal Creek, around which a bobcat has been spotted in recent days.

Back home I got the news of my negative Covid test - hooray! Hugged my mom for a long time and we both teared up. Hard being so far apart for so long.

Many of the bright leaves from just two days ago had blown down. Spent more time at the garden center with Mom, where there's an acre or so of poinsettias ready in the greenhouse, and back home planted allium and a couple new heuchera and a beautiful cyclamen in a pot from my mom's mom. Spent the evening watching old sitcoms with Mom and Dave and trying not to nibble too much leftover Halloween chocolate.
