Diary of an Edinburgher

Robert walkies

Archie was up at the window, quivering with excitement, awaiting the arrival of Robert. I didn’t tell him - he always knows when I get the poo bags and treat bag ready. Also, he gets spruced up a bit - a beard and legs brush, which he HATES.

Anyway, he was all a-quiver, when Robert texted to say he’d be five minutes late. ‘No worries, I’ll tell him...’
So he was greeted with an even more enthusiastic, barking, crying Archie. Oh, and a barking Pretzel. What a scene.

Pretzel came to stay for the day, probably the last time, as their move is imminent. We’ll miss her wee happy, waggy self.

While Archie was out, and after JR had done her exercises, I went on the bike. I am browsing through BritBox (on my iPad), which I joined for Spitting Image (but it’s not nearly as funny as the original) but there are lots of old programmes that I haven’t seen, having been in NZ for 25 years. I also waved around a couple of 1kg weights, killing two birds, sort of.

There were no incidents to report today during Archie’s walk, and Robert stayed for a cuppa. Archie had a bath, and here he’s still a bit damp. Wee Maggie happened by and there was a lot of barking. I wish I’d got the three dogs lined up for a photo, but that would have been almost impossible.

JR took Archie out for an afternoon walk while I set to and sorted out the two drawers in the desk, which is no longer wanted. That took me ages.

An exciting delivery tomorrow! Not tomorrow. Friday.
