Autumn After Sunset

I was busy editing images I shot earlier in the afternoon when I looked up and saw the sky turning. I thought twice about going out, thinking it would be all over before I got chance to set up, but I'm glad I made the effort.

It was so peaceful down by the lake and the water so still. It had been another lovely warm and sunny day and this was a perfect way to draw it to a close.

I had the usual challenges processing a high dynamic range image, trying to get detail in the darks and highlights. I tried to get the colours accurate to what I saw, but of course it's a memory. I really like the line of light along the far shore.
