Cross Trees

More snow and a gloomy day led me to a frozen pond with fallen trees, the snow laden trunks and their reflections forming a cross on the ice. I wish now I had moved to the right to see whether the cross could have fallen between the upright trunks. But as it is I still find it interesting. I think the balance of standing trees and repeating diagonals works.

I had underexposed the image quite a bit to retain some detail in the highlights which left me a tricky edit to bring up the shadows.
