Celebrate

Today mum and I got stopped by the police on the way to Tesco. Stopping every single car on both routes into Welshpool seemed a little extreme and perhaps not a solid use of taxpayers money. I wanted to buy a party hat for tonight’s birthday zoom but unfortunately, party hats are deemed a non-essential item and were cordoned off. I was able to buy wine, king prawns and ras el hanout though. All thoroughly essential. Massive eye roll.

If we’re honest, there’s not really much to do these days, so I was happy to spend part of the afternoon making a party hat. The rest of it I slept.

We sat, transfixed, to the news this evening. A tiny glimmer of hope in an absolutely horrendous year. Just a couple more months and we never have to give any legitimacy to anything that horrific man ever says again. Well done President-elect Biden. We can now travel to America again.

The BBC were uncharacteristically bias in their reporting tonight, and I think the presenters struggled to contain their joy.
