Curiosity

This morning we had the absolute perfect weather for an adventure up a hill. The girls were brilliant: curious, adventurous and just good fun. We stopped at points on the journey to look at leaves and fungi and lichen and trees. Stunning views at the top and the young people took to their task of discovering something new. I had a quick look through their books this evening and loved this description.

A pretty heavy mentoring session after that and it was hard to end after an hour when it felt like we were just getting somewhere.

And then seeing some of our favourite young people over various lunch breaks.

I love being in school on Fridays at the best of times, but now even more so when the opportunity could have been so easily taken from us.

Now for a beer. In front of the fire. Because I can.
