Another outing this morning. This time in Gait Barrows
I believe the main shot is a Fleecy Milk Cap. Lactarius vellereus. An impressive specimen about 20cm. in diameter. It was in good condition.
The extra shows sections of the Common Hedgehog Fungus. Hydnum repandum.
Instead of gills under the cap this has spines to hold the spores. These give rise to its common name.
