Splish splash #1

........I was takin a bath!! At least the birds are enjoying all the rainwater, even if we are not!!
More rain when we woke, but it dried up after lunch, a bit brighter too, thankfully.

We were in no rush to get up......once we had had breakfast, we walked to the local shop for a paper, some milk and bread for daughter, as she is back from holidays later today. We bought ourselves a meal deal to take with us to her house, an on line grocery delivery was due between 1-3pm.

Hub called out to me to say he could see a bird in the birdbath......camera was to hand, so quickly grabbed it and went into the kitchen. This blackbird was really enjoying itself, it splashed around for quite a few minutes so I was able to fire off quite a few shots......liked this one best with all the water droplets and movement,

Our top road has been closed all week, major roadworks, no through traffic, only access.. looks as though it might be a major job! It means every time we go out to daughters or the GP's, or sis's, we would normally turn right, but cant, so a much longer way around to get where we need to be!

The delivery man had just pulled up outside daughters house, as we arrived, it was 12.50! He did say he would have waited. Once all the groceries were away, we sat and ate our lunch. Their cat Bella was pleased to have some company, she kept climbing up on our laps..

Back home we decided on different things for dinner, hub had pork belly, fries and beans whilst I had flaked salmon, noodles and vegetable stir fry in a spicy chilli sauce :-)

We are currently watching the Rugby, loval derby, Wigan v St. Helens......a good game, Saints just edging it at the mo!!
