Heavy heart
Slept heavily, woken up by the alarm at 8, as the window guy was popping back for a minor adjustment.....all good.
Really strong winds early on, with heavy rain, but after lunch, it has improved, some dry bright spells. We took ourselves off for a late afternoon walk just along our top road, gave us a chance to nosy at the progress of the roadworks, in identally they were working on them, which was surprising to see! Massive hole right in the middle of the road, with iron supports holding the sides up.....cant see it being finished any time soon!
I took a few shots just a ross the fields, liked this one best with the sun highlighting the wind turbines towards Winter Hill.
We got home in time to make a cuppa and listen to what rhe PM has to say.....we are still sat waiting, its now 6.15 ! No doubt as soon as I make a mo e into the kitchen he will appear!
Sad news this morning, youngest son called me to say that his grandad, my first Father in Law, had just passed away.....he had been sheilding as he has heart failure, but had to go into hospital for a blood transfusion a week ago and contracted Covid :-(. RIP Les, you were a kindhearted man, no doubt Kath will be waiting for you x
Take care all
