Raining cats n dogs

Binmen alarm call this morning, but thankfully not too early.......already pouring down :-/

Hubs been waiting for a form from our GP to book a chest xray.....it came via email, luckily he read it through and it said it had to be signed by the GP; it wasn't. He rang to make his appointment and asked whether the form actually required a signature, they said yes!

After faffing around, he managed to talk to someone at our surgery, resulting in us having to take the form back to get it signed. I stayed in the car whilst hub went inside.....this was my view whilst sat in the car!!!

Anyhow, the outcome was hub called the hospital back, they said to go in this afternoon, so thats his xray done, results in a day or two. As we were out in the car we popped into Costa for a coffee........

Also found out that my ex father in law has contracted covid, following a brief stay in hospital... they tested him, then discharged him home prior to his result, which was positive; resulted in other family members having to get tested too, fortunately all negative! Unbelievable isnt it!

So thats the sum of our day today really.... other than me cooking a beef hotpot for dinner tonight. Also made a sofrito base which I will leave in the fridge for a day or two then use for either a spag bol or a lasagna.
