Back To The Rainbow
It wasn't a case of up with the first bird's fart (this one was obviously fragrant, but hard to squeeze out). I was up a wee bit later and couldn't be bothered fighting with the start of the commuter traffic.
However, after breakfast SWMBO decided that she wanted to see the tunnel fully completed - so off we went.
The car park is shut for 6 months while Scottish Water do work somewhere down the Water Of Leith walkway past the tunnel (they have taken over the car park and adjacent area as their base) so we had to park on the main road.
It was there that I saw the unused garden steps hidden behind the locked gate (I feel a new series of steps coming on) and the mixed colours and leaves.
After reshooting all the lines of the poem and their corresponding illustrations (plus a few more of some details) I stopped at the seat and took a couple of in camera movement shots of the autumn colours.
I was then dragged off to a big store near The Gyle and while SWMBO stalked the aisles, I went looking for some superglue.
Why is it in this country we have to put up with expensive, tiny tubes (which are only filled about 1/4 full) of the stuff whereas in The States you can get it by the pint?. It makes inlaying brass powder a real phaff - and more expensive that it should be.
