Missed It
I was up before the sun this morning and headed off to get the last of the Colinton Tunnel to be able to finish the book I want to put together.
As I was driving into town there was a bit of colour started appearing in the sky.
It didn't last and disappeared very quickly.
However, surprisingly enough, it came back - and with a vengeance apparently.
Of course, I was too low down to get any pictures of it.
But I did get what I wanted in the tunnel.
On the way home the colour in the sky was dying but when I got to the airfield at Kirknewton I stopped and took some shots of what colour there was and the texture in the clouds (There are a dozen shots from the morning over here .... look out for the horse with dreadlocks).
Of course, after downloading the pictures I found that the pictures of the tunnel I had already taken are amongst the files I have lost on the broken laptop.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr
I guess I will have to go back and photograph the whole damned thing again.
I have spent a fair while on the lathe - not all of it a success it has to be said (much like the rest of the day really) with me cutting through the walls of a couple of pieces and a piece of walnut splitting along a grain line.
On the up side - I have managed to salvage the Walnut and think I have a plan to be able to use the 'hoops' from the other two.
