Leading In

I intended this image to be as I shot it in the camera's native 3:2 format with the line of green algae beginning in the bottom left corner. However, when editing I decided that the destination for the leading line, i.e. the red shrub, was too small in the frame. So cropping in to a 5:4 format gave the shrub more presence at the expense of shifting the algae towards the centre.

The algae joins into the fallen tree pointing in the general direction of the shrub, not quite perfect, but it will do. Nice contrasts of red/green and light/dark in the reflections.

A cold, grey day and trees are loosing their leaves rapidly now.
