Dependable
On a wet and windy day, searching for something that doesn't move makes life easier, at least as far as photography is concerned. What could be more so than a rock. The green moss was especially vibrant after the rain and contrasted nicely with the orange leaves.
After several attempts with other formations, I changed to a wide angle lens and got low and close to emphasize the foreground. An old twisted vine frames the rocks beyond and keeps the eye on the main subject.
A bit of judicious dodging and burning to bring out the soft directional light.
