An unexpected Treasure Hunt

To the day's activities - guitar lesson for grandchild 1, tap and jazz dance taster sessions for grandchild 3, spending of birthday money for grandchild 2 - we added a Treasure Hunt around the Lerwick shops.

All part of the October Holiday events organised by Living Lerwick, the town centre association. We were accosted by Maunsie, a talking lamppost and each child received a goodie bag, (as pictured), in which to collect their treasure. In each shop visited they had to find hidden stars and record the number, before receiving a small gift.

All good fun and a good way to encourage children and parents into shops that are seriously in need of their custom at the moment.
