Happy Birthday

Of course, the usual Birthday party routine just isn't possible with covid restrictions, but J had gone to great efforts to make it a special day nevertheless.

We enjoyed lunch out at R's chosen venue: Fjara in Lerwick. His ice cream sweet arrived with lit candles and the young waitor and waitress gave a cheery rendition of Happy Birthday through their masks!

It was a chilly day for the park, but R was keen to stick to the arrangement to meet a friend there and took a little sandwich box of homebakes with him.

Fish for tea, at the Birthday Boy's request, followed by this beautiful cake.
