A lovely delivery today - a big box, with goods all surrounded by ice packs. 

Our daughters gave me a voucher for Côte Brasserie and we were going to use it somewhere interesting and have a day out. Then we decided that travelling around was not such a good idea at the moment and we would use Côte at home instead. We had good fun choosing a meal with all the extras, including fougasse and French cheeses and croissants for the morning. 

Great to unpack it all and now we just have to heat it up and eat. With North Uist smoked salmon as a starter and some nice wines we got at Majestic, we will dine finely. 

Perhaps not quite the fine dining that we were doing at the weekend a year ago when we were treated by our daughter and son-in-law. But then, as we celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary in London, we did an awful lot of things we cannot do at the moment. Sad, but we will make the best of it, as everyone is having to do.
