A Saucerful of Secrets

According to Ticketmaster I should be off to see Nick Mason this coming Friday, in a concert that was rescheduled from May.
Given the current restrictions, this seems highly unlikely. And the fact that the band’s official website now shows this concert as taking place in May 2021 would seem to suggest that Ticketmaster haven’t yet caught up with what is happening. Maybe the date has to come and go before they update their site?
Playing Pink Floyd tracks from the period before Dark Side, I’ve seen them in concert twice already and they’ve been excellent on both occasions. With the likes of Gary Kemp, Lee Harris and Guy Pratt joining Nick Mason, I wouldn’t really have expected anything else.
It means I’ve now seen all three surviving members of Pink Floyd in concert though, sadly not all on the same stage at the same time! Mind you, Guy Pratt also plays bass with David Gilmour - and used to play bass for Pink Floyd after Waters left. And Roger Waters’ son was in the support band last time I saw Nick Mason, so it’s all being kept pretty much “in the family”.
The concert this year was supposed to have been a mutual present for me and my friend Stuart, to celebrate our 60th birthdays. Looks like it’s going to be a 61st birthday present now. Luckily, the band have seen fit to recently release this CD/DVD of one of last years concerts so that will have to keep me going until May.
