at last the sun

I got up and made my way down to the beach in hope of a sunrise but there was never really any hope as the sky was again laden with heavy clouds.
However no rain was forecast today and a good deal warmer so we set out to do a circular walk from Aldeburgh to Thorpeness via the old railway line then back on the beach and home along the bank of the R Alde. It was a good and varied walk and rather longer than we would normally do, we clocked up 21,000 steps. Its a good job Suffolk is flat !
We got home feeling very weary and the last thing on my mind was going out again but the sun came out !! followed by a nice sunset. Its a good job the river shore is just a stroll from the door I couldn't resist grabbing my camera.
The first extra is the house in the cloud, a novel converted windmill.  Next is Dan, Lotty and Dave. Then a bit of the splash from what is now a calmer sea. Finally a memory from my early morning, deciding to go for foreground colour as there was non in the sky.
